CNR Railroad Lantern Table Lamp 1920's No.509
This is a Canadian National Railroad, (CNR) Conductor's Lantern. From the HIRAM L. PIPER CO. LTD. (Canadian division of Adlake Co.) with an clear globe which has C.N.R. marked on it.
It has "C N R" and Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd. stamped into the top. On the bottom it is stamped Adlake Kero 1-63.
It has been fitted with an electric socket, an Edison light bulb and a antique style twisted electrical cord. So now with a flip of the switch you see a nice warm red glow.
Please note: No attempt has been made to make this piece new. I like to keep old pieces with age and history, clean and showing their age.
It stands 9 1/2" tall and 6" wide.
All my lamps are wired for use in the US and Canada using UL and or CAE approved parts
